One Case of Embryonal Carcinoma of the Overy

Abstract
|
|
|
Embryonal carcinoma is an uncommon neoplasm of germ cell origin which usually arise in the ovary. Embryonal carcinoma is closely related to endodermal sinus tumor(EST) and was seperated from this group of tumor by Kurman and Norris.
In addition to the charicteristic histological and immunohistological features, embryonal carcinoma was reported to have a prognosis which is better than EST.
We experienced one case of embryonal carcinoma of the ovary and report with a brief review of the literature.
